When I was with Shaffer about a year ago, did orientation in Lenior Cilty, put in rental care to new Kingstown for sleep study. Coul not get med card or hired on till it was done.

Apparently Lenoir City is doing this inconsistently. When I went thru orientation there last summer I was required to sign the 60 day agreement and proceed. You make the 2nd driver that I'm now aware of not given the 60 day option by Lenoir City. Did you pass your Sleep Study in New Kingstown?

The picture I saw looked like a Crete truck that had been stuffed with laundry bags.

When looking at a preplan and seeing if you have enough time to get there on time, how close do you cut it concerning delivery time and the hours you have left. For example I had a 900 mile run that if I accepted it, I would only have 1.5 hr leeway if I got into traffic or construction. Plus it was a tracked load. I took it and delivered on time. I have took loads that only had an hour to spare a few times. Is this normal? Or am I risking being late? What do you do?

You can't be expected to know everything. Just communicate your hours if you're worried. An hour leeway is fine IMO, unless you know you're going through a major city during daylight. Just don't forget on duty time.

I usually accept loads if I have 1.5 - 2 hours to spare. Sometimes even closer, depending where the trip goes, as some areas the traffic would make it difficult to be on time. So I guess it varies depending on the routing.

Nope. Attached to one of their machines. Not even with Crete anymore and saddled with that stupid thing.

I have always wondered if the computer takes this into account when assigning you loads? Seems like if I take the loads that don't have much leeway leads to better loads. If I turn them down I seem to get junk for awhile.

Yep, there were a couple times when I kept my asset manager aware of what was going on, and he got me a new delivery time.

Well I'm glad that I am basically doing what everyone else is. Adding time for mountains had got me one time but I'm aware of that now.
