Long time forum lurkers that are looking for suggestions on a company to go with. Husband and wife team 2yrs experience and both have clean mvr records and 0accidents or incidents.
2 yrs flatbed/van experience and knock on wood, so far all dot inspections passed.
We have all endorsements twic and passports .
We have an apt in North Carolina but like to stay out 2 months at a time. Could relocate for the right fit.
Who are some companies that would be a good match ?
thanks in advance

Quest Global Inc. out of Cartersville, GA has unlimited time off.
Tribe Transport is hard core long haul and trucks have Tripac APU's. That's all I know about them.
Holland Enterprises; coast-to-coast & trucks equipped with XM radio, TV & I think refrigerator. Not sure of the ammenities offered with the other two companies but all 3 of these companies have top notch equipment.Last edited: Mar 20, 2015
kbarttt, Barbee's Girl, MidWest_MacDaddy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Quest Global let's you stay out for 2 months then they force you to take hometime.
CruisingAlong Thanks this. -
The two best would be Old Dominion and then you should seriously consider Shaw Carpet in georgia...they are starting teams at .63 cpm with mostly west coast runs...
TruckDuo, blairandgretchen and CruisingAlong Thank this. -
Thanks. Not a deal breaker, but curious, are there any good companies that have "big" sleepers for teams?

Quest Global, US Xpress and most other otr companies do.
Old Dominion has the lightweight trucks. Not sure what Shaw has. -

Smokey Point Distributing out of Arlington, WA pulling a Conestoga (Quick-Draw, sliding tarp system) hauling aircraft parts.
Most likely would get a brand new Volvo 780 with APU, 2500w inverter, real refrigerator and Direct TV with DVR and flat screen TV installed.
Will let you stay out as long as you want, have a terminal in Charleston, SC but will get you home wherever that may be.
As for pay, on that I have no idea what teams are making but if you PM me I'll put you in touch with the person who can answer all of that.
I've been here a few years as have a couple others on this forum. Our driver turnover runs 5% per year which should tell you a lot about the company.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Freightworks LLC.
I just hired on with them and start Monday.
They are about 30 minutes from Shelby,NC
They do run teams and have nice Volvo 780's with APU,fridge and inverters.
New T680 KW's coming in soon too.
They do not haul cheap freight and will pay mileage or percentage.
About everything is dedicated customers.
You will need hazmat with them. -
