i only had rand for 2 weeks. that was all i needed to know to know that there's better out there.
all it took was one trade. and i've never looked back.

i didn't screw around with the 5 million pages of TTR support.

I would not rely on the word of workers in a TS either. A few years ago I made trips around a five state area at all the TS's to look at returns. 95% of the returns there was nothing wrong with. A driver gets it in the truck and instead of taking some time like with any device to move around the screens and set up the parameters they like, they just Plug and Play. The 5" will do that, but the 7" does take a few hours to get a good charge on the battery before it should be used since the screen is HD.

Sometimes returns get tagged back on the shelf to be sold again.

I cannot say what could have been wrong with your two units and I am sorry you did not let me work with you before.

I run different models 5-8 constantly in demo modes for weeks on end 24 hours a day. I do find issues and those issues are duplicated and then fixed. Each day is an adventure. I spend many hours going on round trips between exits sometimes to try to duplicate an issue.

    Nothing taken personal.

A few programs, you can use them or not. Just like all the stuff a computer comes pre-loaded with. In fact if you wish you can actually uninstall them via the apps. You can customize the Tablet with the apps you wish to supplement the RM software.

I offered 4-5 times to look at your unit at RM expense with a loaner to you. You never took the offers up. I do believe this was during the 710 issue. Much has changed since then.

My first one completely crashed. I mean nothing could be done. I spoke with RM about it and we walked through the steps. It was done. The second one was a return, as you said. It already had someone else's information and problems. I promptly returned it when it went a few minutes after I plugged it in. Like I said. I had the 720 and paid full price, over $400 with taxes. Here's to some better luck with the 8" flat screen tv on the dash, lol.

Very few units I have been unable to bring back to life. I have been with the TND program since 2008 and the first prototype.

If you got the tablet TND-80 and run into issues let me know. I run tests on those also.

Have them make it a little smaller, lol. That sucker is huge. At $500, with all its got in it, it is kind of a bargain.
