To take a screen shot of the Tablet.... press the down volume and the power button at the same time. You will see a snapshot appear.

You can go to the gallery to view the snapshot or attach it to an E-Mail.

Okay I got it now... my oversight..... That was a business decision....

 

POI ratings on the tablet are not functional at this time. RM does plan on bringing it back live at a future time.

Rand has a dishonest person who was recently putting their product down now promoting it.


Bad move.

 

More behind the scenes than I know about. As a RM employee, I cannot go into this much. For the reasons, probably business related.

 

I can understand that.

I've never used a Rand product other then their atlas so I cannot say if their electronics are good or bad. I am in the market for my first tablet and a trucker friend pointed out the Rand tab. I started looking into it and thought it would be a good fit for me. Then I heard they paired up with Kevin Rutherford and I thought. How can they line up with a guy that was just knocking their product down?

I get that its a business decision on their part but I hoped they would have more integrity than this. I'll end my rant and quit pestering you but I hope in the future Rand doesn't pair up with guys like this. If they do let me know and I may give some of their products a try.

 

I think after the debacle with the units themselves they had to have someone say that they are the greatest thing since toast. And since KR will say anything for a buck, it was probably a good fit.

 

I don't have the RM tablet yet. I do have my present tablet mounted in this Freightliner Century style dashboard in front of a radio I rarely need. I have had a couple of drivers pass me and give me grief assuming I was surfing the net or texting or emailing someone while driving. I was not using it for anything different than my gps or radio (tuneIn app). Personally the large screen makes it easier to manipulate while driving. Or am I not supposed to tune the radio with anything other than a round knob like my 1978 International 4070b?
