The stores here charge from 3 dollars to 6 dollars each. Not sure what the farmers sell them for.

The multi.pick up loads do pay good if everything works out right. You have to have the right trailer, all loads in same dir.I know of a Company in Houston Tx.has a driver to load trailers with LTLs.Then the OTR drivers deliver.

I ALSO AGREE WITH HIS COMMENT ON THE MAIN REASON SO MANY O/O'S ARE GOING DOWN THE TUBE IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEIR OPERATING COST IS.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU FIGURED YOURS OUT?

I think thats exactly right. I hope to one day run my own truck and have been doing the numbers since the first day I started driving to understand how much it does cost to operate one of these monsters. With fuel prices going up it starting to get scary and become weary about buying a truck. I know one thing for sure. Freight still has to move so trucking will always be a necessity. The thing is to be as cost efficient as possible in order to make money.

I went to a load board on the web and started filling out the information they wanted to let me in and wasn't sure if I should be sharing ithat kind of information with a board like that. Could someone give me advice about internet load boards, or load boards in general. What is reasonable for them to ask and what I should or should not be telling them? Would you tell me the good ones I should be going to and the bad ones I should avoid?

    Thank you in advance

You'll do fine with the one of the two bigger load boards (Get Loaded or Truckstop). Another board is DAT but it is quite costly.

    WildRose Thanks this.
