I agree with you 100%. However, I am focusing on what you said that I highlighted in bold. A felon cant do a fine job and be successful if they are not given the chance. Ultimatly, the company will have the final say in who they choose to hire.
Thank you for your input! -
Watkins Shepard.
GREAT people to work for.
New trucks.
Decent pay.
Terminals all over the country, and their training is second to none.
They cover everything.
They hire people with old felonies.

So, you're the recruiter for this company and sending me nasty PMs to shut me up about the truth (this is NOT the truth, theres enough evidence to back that up here and throughout the web). Tell the truth now.6daysontheroad and KW Cajun Thank this.

One thing I find really annoying is when people misrepresent the facts and give the appearance that a driver is only making .11cpm when in actuality they are getting .22cpm. It's like they should get the full cpm pay for all miles when you should only get paid half of the miles since you only drive half of the miles. With that said though, .22cpm is pretty #### pathetic anyways.

I'm not sure about companies that hire people with pending felonies but I have called a lot of companies that will hire with a 5 year old felony (depending on the charge). What most people forget about is the fact that you cannot get a hazmat endorsement for at least 7 years after a felony and cannot enter Canada for at least 5 years (sometimes, never). I was worried about finding a descent company but with the help people on this forum like Chinatown and Joseph1135 I have found that there are lots of opportunities for those of us with a past without giving your soul to one of the Megas.
Ken5000, UKJ, C & C and 1 other person Thank this. -
The .22 is with the bonus. IF you get the bonus. The .11 is the base pay.stevep1977 Thanks this.

LOL that's a pretty good deal, where do we sign up?

Wrong on the hazmat, I paroled out of prison the end of July 2013, had my HM endorsement about a month later. Some felonies you can never get HM.
The background check seemed to be more concerned about mental stability than anything, along with certain felonies..murder and smuggling were two I recall plus some others.
I thought I was banned from Canada for life but not really sure about that.Steel Maverick and C & C Thank this. -
I wouldn't start the truck for less than 37cpm.
