I made a delivery to a Bose facility (North Carolina?) late last year. The yard dog came over to give me directions where to drop my trailer and I got to talking to him about their seats. He right up and started telling me about his experience with the seat as part of their internal field testing. Said he could drive over raised railroad tracks at speed and the only thing he felt was the steering wheel going up and down. Didn't have it in the dog, but said he'd for sure get a seat if he was going over the road.
Whatever it takes in order to protect your health, do it. Couple of years ago as I was getting back into this field I thought I might have to give it up because of back and leg pain. I've made do by modifying a MagicGel seat pad in order to continue. I'm not sure what company offers it, but they have a display seat at the Ontario, CA TA and/or Petro with leather and MagicGel built into the seat. Very comfortable and I think they will install it within a few hours for a few hundred bucks, I think they reupholster your current seat but I'm not sure. That would certainly be a step up from the bottom of the barrel crap they put into company trucks, which is what an O/O gets when they buy a used truck.

Hurry up and buy it. Word was they are $7500 but if bought in qty price dropped. If bought 100 or more they were $3500. Why can't OOIDA collect from 100 guys and get them for us. I'm in. I have been in one on a farm tractor. The tractor goes up and down, and your feet go up and down, but everything from your waist up stays level. Really weird at first but just a dream. We didn't buy it because felt help would run too fast not feeling the rough terrain and it would wreck the equipment much faster.

I'm happy with $875 installed Legacy Silver ultraleather KW edition.... I'll keep the other $4000 in my rainy day account.

I'm sure if you ask any drivers with back problems if they could go back and buy a $5k seat that would have prevented the back problems it would be a yes. But it is hard to justify when you can get other premium seats for under $1000.
I would be worried about giving them to drivers too, especially after hearing about the guy cruising over rough tracks.
I'm also a little disappointed their warranty is only 4 years on construction and only 1 year on seat top. It's tough to ask someone to pay $5k for a seat, but it would be a little easier if they would back it for 10 years.rank Thanks this. -

I'd also be looking into a parts list and asking about price and availability on some of that stuff. Di I have to bring my truck to a Bose dealer to replace one of them microprocessor/light bulb motion sensor thingies?
