The trailer will pass a DOT or I wouldn't be pulling it. Both the Swift inspection and PM sticker are current AND it passed my pretrip.
Just not willing to get stuck there when I have another load waiting. I've already planned my fuel so it's no big deal
FWIW- I can pick up a t-called load from West Valley WITHOUT going through the inspection lanes. I've done it before and as long as they park trailers OUTSIDE of the yard can do it again.

It's been a while but in my experience you have to be as far out as tooele or springville or the reops will keep giving you the terminal.

So far I'm 3 out of 3 parking at the Love's or reopting in the fuel line. Sometimes if I'm REALLY low on fuel I'll call my DM in a situation like that to open up for 50 gallons. If I'm not that low on fuel I'll look at available Love's/TA/Petro along the way and reopt when I'm in range.

Fundamentally I'll reopt about 50% of the time, sometimes in order to avoid silly routing that takes me through scenic routes that take longer than (though shorter miles) than interstates. While we are supposed to not exceed out of route by over 16% of the time IIRC I'll sometimes take significantly different routes than the fuel plan if it more efficient, will avoid bad weather, or avoid major metropolitan areas during rush hour.
