Forgive me for getting off track but I remember one night sitting in new kings town yard and seeing one of the old international eagle(not prostar) trucks pulling in. This guy had more chicken lights then most decked out refeer peterbilt trucks have! His truck was chromed out, light up and even had the blue headlights. Never got a chance to talk to him. Then I remember t-calling with a guy in west Memphis that had one of the old classics that Shaffer used to run. He kept commenting on how his truck would run twice plus over regular Crete speed.

I seriously considered trying to buy the Cascadia I was driving at Crete and doing the O/O thing, but their program was too restrictive for what I wanted to do. But I did speak to a couple of O/Os there prior to departing and they were pretty happy overall.

Talked to an O/O in SLC and was shocked by how few there are with Crete. May have been much less than 200. Someone correct me if my memory is wrong.

This guy no longer went to CA even though he lived right on the border.

Thanks i will. I am researching this option now. I have talked with Crete and reviewed their criteria for becoming an o/o with them. I like what im doing, i like the organization, and i have the support of my family so i might take this step. Any initial advice or things i might not be thinking of?

So Pilot FlyingJ has a new promotion called PhilMor. I just bought my mug! I already have 40 bucks on my rewards card and now cheaper coffee too. I hope they bring back double points this summer. Its not like im not gonna be there so might as well get the discounts.

Speaking of them relative to the Choice program at Schneider (where I am now), they wanted you to spend a minimum number of days on the road, just like a company hand, and a choice of loads limited to three. Plus the flat rate of (I believe) something like 1.03 per mile plus FSC. Just wasn't enough to entice me to go that route.
