Yup I gotta open the door and lean out a bit unless I'm only backing at a slight angle. Man it messed me up the first few times driving this truck after having driven only wide-body trucks before. Try looking out the window and all you see is the side of the sleeper LOL. No way I could ever pull a moosc and stand on the steps though. I've seen a few drivers do that before. I'm too clumsy and would fall off. No way to push in the clutch lol. I like the narrow cab though because I can reach everything from the drivers seat, and can easily stand on the steps while cleaning mirrors/windows without worrying about slipping off.

I will definitely go back to a short wheelbase truck on my next truck if I continue pulling vans. This thing is too much of a pain to get in to some of these crappy lots. Today I had to drive up on the curb to get out of my spot in the rest area. It rides great going down the road but maneuvers like an oil tanker.

Alright Maurice J. Never thought I'd post about someone in a specific way...but you're deserving of this one.

Theres a hole in the side of this trailer. Doesn't matter if you're the cause, why didn't you report it?? Fine, that's at least not terrible. ...oh but wait!

Im pretty sure the dot set a guideline of 4psi/minute on the brake test for leaks. So why the hell didn't your sorry colostomy bag self report this? NEARLY 30 PSI A MINUTE?!?! Come on man! And this isn't a replace your gladhand issue, nope. Those looked fine.

So thank you Maurice. Thank you for making my drop this morning late.

Upon taking the trailing unit to the local OC, the mechanics also found a bolt in the tires. Oh well, that was probably on the yard. I didn't see it so I'm glad the mechanic found it.

The was fixed and the mechanic said he couldn't find any leaks despite testing the brakes, he added that it could've been a part of the inflation unit still trying to do its job. So I went ahead and left.

I travelled some ways down the road, thinking about what the mechanic said and it didn't add up. The air leak only happened when the brakes were pressed or if pressure was applied. From what I know, the tire pressure system has visible lines on the inside of the rims, but there were no lines. At the time, I assumed it was a different model.

I noticed a light come on my trailer (Amber, curb-side, front of the trailer.) and assumed it to be te tire pressure system giving a warning.

anyway, Long story short, pull into someplace so I can check on things and make sure everything's fine. Nope, air is still leaking. This time I decide to locate it and find that it's coming from the side of the cylinder where the diaphragm is located.

Also, as pointed out by TennMann, if I happen to be in the wrong in making these posts I will apologize. As of right now though, I feel that should have been detected by the previous driver in a pretrip. If anyone feels differently, I encourage you to educate me. :yes2557:

So you called out a driver because of a bolt in the tire and accused him of not doing his job however a brake pump down test is not part of a post trip. It'd be nice to now see an apology.

I doubt he gets it though.
