Ah whatever. I just kept thinking with my luck i will run into that dot officer who goes by the book.

Either way i was too tired to drive because the shipper burned up my hours all day.

Either way 50 pounds nobody is going to even bother. Even in California. Even at Banning.

If you did get a fine it would be around $2.50

I dont care about the money. Its my record there are a few companies i am eyeing they say no overweight tickets in your past.

Thank you for this post. By what you are telling me i CAN get cited so im glad i didnt move. I dont believe in giving law enforcement the ammo, and power to be lenient with me. Id rather give them NOTHING. Its why i dont go 3 or 4 miles over the speed limit. I go the limit.

In California the produce haulers are WAY over weight. They haul by the pound and the money they earn hauling more far exceeds the fine.

Once I was at a truckstop in CA and talking to all the produce guys. One had his wife in a car watching the scale and called when it closed and they all took off.

Another time I was loaded with crushed cars up to my max. Two trucks next to be had twice the amount I was hauling. They also had one of their wives driving a car and checking on the scales.

You could let 7 lbs of air out of each tire then you would be 6 pounds under.:Wheel:

I would have just ran with it as normal. If I wanted to be really careful about it , I would adjust so the small about over was on my drives, then ran down my fuel so that it would now be legal about 50 miles down the road as the weight of fuel onboard decreases as it burns off.

LOL the only 2 saying park it are under a year? Oh yeah it was April first yesterday.

You would be way under because that is 7 lbs per square inch. You have to calculate how much tire is touching the ground and then multiply that by 7. You might only need to let 1/4 pound out of each tire.
