Flatbed. I've got all the equipment I need back home. Just waiting on a truck right now.

good to see you getting back in the saddle.

I'll be following you ... I will take the title on my truck at the end of September and will be looking at options. Eagle is on the list now, as well as the usual cast of characters.

You guys are displaying monk-like patience, hats off to you both! Your Orientation has been been anything but smooth and I commend you for not trashing celadon headquarters in a fit of hulk inspired rage. I will be there Tuesday for orientation. After weeks of trying to decide between three different lease purchase deals, the allure of dispatching myself is just too great to resist.

Thanks for sharing your journeys with us and I hope we all get off to a great start. Busy season is here!! Get it while the getting's good!!!

    Alright just an update:

I spoke to my Celadon Recruiter(Melissa).. at this time, Eagle logistics still runs their own recruiting center and Celadon has theirs. . Eagle orientation happens in Indy, and Celadon Orientation in Butler. The Butler terminal is the former Evans Transport facility just outside of Butler IN. After the Eagle orientees are hired, they then are sent to Butler for flatbed check offs and training. All Cladon flatbed orientees will go to Butler from the get go.

Orienation syllabus is generally: Computer work, physicals, UDS, comperter work re: Celadon operations, and road test. this is not all inclussive, but covers the general items for day 1,2, and part of 3.. Hiring process occurs on Wed usually.

I then spok to Amy(Celadon Complince/Orientation) in Butler who then explained the rest of the process.. th first 2-3 days is as above for either group.
Preliminary plans starting next wk.. Once hired, drivers will then go to Quality Leasing for trucks.. Celadon is making this slight change so drivers can have a better selection of vehicles, after drivers complained. Their could be some Lonestars there in Butler.. but in general the plan starting next wk is to have drives go to Indy for truck.. She stated that Butler orientees, like myself, will be shuttled down to Indy.

Once a driver has their truck they will then return/or go to Butler for flatbed traing/checkoffs. It will consist of videos, Celadon safety, and practical applications. Once done, and equipment issued. driver will be given FM info.. then dispatch..

Amy made it clear to me that, YES they have been working on everything since strting the flatbed side and it's not perfected yet: and its still a work in progress..

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the update! Do they have many 2014 trucks? Specifically Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Internationals?

Eddieforhir, neither one knew exactly which trucks are available. They could say that lots of Lonestar ready. No idea about you models.

I was afraid you'd say that. So unsettling to not even have a truck picked out until we're already in Indy. Wish they would send us an inventory list BEFORE we get to orientation.
