Someone give OP driver of the year award.
Couple more years there's a job at Walmart private fleet waitin for ya! -
op's been with this company 10 or 11 months now.He should know that 50 lbs is nothing when crossing scales.I'd like to be a fly on a wall when he gets routed to the terminal.

OP has a bad record and is doing everything necessary to protect it (from getting worse). I'd rather see him error on the side of too much caution than come back here asking who will hire him with yet another ticket.
But yes, 50lb is getting carried away. And overweight tickets do not count against you.GenericUserName, Mr.X and tsavory Thank this. -
This "new" truck i have doesnt slide the fifth wheel. So i have never in the past been over even 1lb i always corrected it. This one couldnt be corrected. So i have no experience to know dot is lenient on weight. They sure arent lenient on anything else so i didnt have any clues to go by. Now i know for the future this is nothing to worry about.
Talked to the boss this morning he 110% has my back. -
stupid boss too
joseph1135, icsheeple, teqntexas and 8 others Thank this. -
50 lbs = 0.15% of 34,000 lbs.
Less than one-quarter of a percent.
You could forgo having lunch and have a scale reading differ that amount.
No wonder this industry is so messed up.
Next time, instead of getting into it with the boss, do what a professional would do, call the scale. Besides, after you do, and when you cross the scale, the scale master will probably still be laughing too hard to do his job properly anyhow. If it is really a number you're concerned about, call and ask, they will usually tell you. That's a good practise for winter too as some scales give an allowance for snow/ice and some don't, and of those that do, it varies.tsavory and joseph1135 Thank this. -
Always remember a good April Fools joke has to include accurate misinformation. -
Hammer166 Thanks this.
