If you leave ( for whatever reason) before the 75,000 miles, you will owe all the debt. If discharged with, or without cause before the 75,000 miles, you will owe all the debt. It is all in the contract.

Some of y'all act like no other industry or job would require you to sign a contract.

Its not as big of a deal as y'all are making it. If you don't like it, then work somewhere else, its that simple

    Jumbo and joseph1135 Thank this.

so hypothetically if you sign on with Roehl as an experienced driver with say 5 years experience. they still make you go out with a trainer?

    pete1 Thanks this.

No. If you already have experience then I doubt this contract would apply to you. I believe its for people already with their cdl, fresh out of school.

This is for new drivers with no experience. A lot of these guys think that CDL "school" prepares them to be a trucker. No it does not. The training your first company gives you along with that first year is what teaches you trucking. The school simply teaches you how to pass your CDL skills and road tests. What Rohel is teaching them is how to truck, and these people think that the company expecting them to at least give 75,000 miles is too much to ask. If you think about that, it's 6 months for a decent driver. Wow.

Do you know if that applies to people who are trying to get into their company sponsored cdl training too? I don't know if stuff like that is the normal in the industry. But, it seems like
it would sound more fair if you leave them than you would have that debt. Not, if they release you from your job. But, I am new to all this and trying to get in this industry myself. Thanks for that
    information.

When I worked there, if roehl paid for your cdl training through their own school, you had to sign a 100,000 mile contract.

Or maybe Roehl should stop trolling truckdrivingschool for employees, sell of half their trailers, raise their pay and hire experienced drivers with clean records only and pay them really well. That might cause their turnover to drop significantly.
Same goes for all these other puppy mills disguised as trucking companies....

Is there any mention of this on their website...?

Besides Who needs training..... Truck driving is an unskilled profession . Just ask the government .
