Oh and the new trailers are 560 a month.. All these Deductions are taken out weekly so it's about 1100 a week give or take.. That's everything.

Happy Easter everyone! I rented a car and came home for the weekend to spend Easter with the kids. I'm still waiting on a verification of employment from Anderson Trucking Service. Since it was 4pm on a Friday right before the Final Four games in Indy I figured everyone would be out of there as soon as possible. I'm headed back to Indy early Monday morning, then will most likely be headed up to Butler,IN for a flatbed trailer. If they have any available. Really looking forward to getting the ball rolling on this. Appreciate all the info I've read so far. Stay blessed everyone.

Thanks ... that provides some info ... not worried about the truck payment, I'll be bringing my own to the party.
But I'm not sure it's worth it. First of all, what have you been paying for fuel per week on how many miles. I'm running between $1100 and $1200, depending where I run at, on 3150 hub miles a week. When you throw a number like $1600 out there for fuel, it spooks me. Are you limited where you can fuel? What are the transaction fees.
What is the $375 ... I hope that is including maintenance account and base plates. Because right now I'm only paying $95 a week including EZ pass.
Can you clarify detention. Do you get it after the 2 hrs on broker loads and after 4 hrs on Eagle dispatched loads or is Eagle skimming the detention and only passing it through after 4 hrs. If it is the latter, that is a big issue. I average about 2.5 hours of detention a week, with about 25% of my loads D/H. Go to 100% live and I would anticipate that number to be about 3.5 hours a week , With a 4 hour cut off, that revenue will disappear. And since it is not cost revenue, it will come right off the bottom line.
I didn't expect tolls to be covered, but they are with my present carrier. That is about $4500 per year expense that doesn't come out of my pocket right now.
On the trailer rental. I assume that you are also responsible for maintenance, in addition to the rental cost. Also, can you bring your own trailer? At $560 a month, you can find a decent trailer under 5 years old, for what you would sink into a rental over 3 years.
I gross $180K a year at my current carrier. It looks like I would have to pull close to $200K at Eagle, just to break even with where I'm currently at.
And just out of curiosity, where did you pick up that SC load at? -
Thats crap...Been there done that...drove for them for 5 weeks...didnt make ####!!!
-
Do not drive for them...Your payment a week is around 1200...then you have your fuel. I drove for Celadon for a year, went to JONES EXPRESS...big mistake and then over to EAGLE...Promises, promises...nothing ever is given what they promise. I will never drive for another QUALITY company..EVER

You seem to be just a tad bit more upset than the usual nay sayer sir. Pray tell us the details?
