O.K.,just for Curiosity's sake,I see now that they are making Cascadia Glider Trucks ( with Pre-Emmison Engine's ).
So I have 2 Questions ?
(a) Are the Odds of being given a FULL Inspections to see IF you are Cali. Complaint less, because IF from the Weight Station, They SEE a Cascadia, and natuarlly assume it's Complaint ? ( Because It's a NEWER Truck ).
(b) What happens IF you take that Chance, and get caught ? Is it just a Fine ?,and what ever is Reported on a Driver's CSA,or DAC,or whatever is Record !
Or,will they tell you to TOW The Truck, and Trailer OUT of The State !
Just The FACTS !
And Please Spare me The Hate for California.....It's still part of The United States !
Keep on Truckin ' .

Without that "Certified Clean Idle" sticker you will probably get stopped. They are barcoded too.
alien4fish Thanks this. -
What is barcoded? Plus I'm sure you can find a website out there that sells the "clean idle" stickers.

Nothing better than looking at some past case settlements. Granted, these are instate companies.

Wow ! I completely forgot about The Cali. Sticker.
O.K.,so with Technology being what it is,can't someone just buy a Sticker on line somewhere ? -
The sticker itself. To prevent counterfeit stickers. Take a look at one sometime. I would not take the chance of getting caught with a counterfeit sticker.

Although this doesn't answer your question, I had thought the same thing with the Cascadia, and I don't know if the "sticker" really is that big of a deal, I have been running my 2010 Pete in Cali. on and off since new, and because of custom paint I have NEVER had a sticker on that truck.
Now, it IS compliant, but no one has ever said anything to me about the stickers not being on the truck?
I guess if it is really an issues all they have to do is look at the sticker on the motor.
BTW, what are the motor choices for the Cascadia? just the 12.7 and the ISX or N14? (I am guessing here, never speced a Cascadia glider) any chance of getting an ISM in that Cascadia?
BTW, was told by the DTNA Glider guys at the MATS show that La, Freightliner did build out 20 Argosy cabovers with 12.7 and a passive DPF for a local company.
I would love to have some Argosy's but we put too many miles on a year for that DPF system to be cost effective. Oh yeah, and BTW those stupid stickers are like 300.00 from Freightliner, and you HAVE to have all of your truck info and it needs to be correct just to get a replacement.mladen86 Thanks this. -
I see all kinds of old trucks in California all the time.
LumbraX and Frghter Century 12.7 Detr Thank this. -
Same here, mine included!

the barcodes on those clean idle stickers are registered to the serial number on that engine that's how they catch you if they decide to really check it out
stormy379 Thanks this.
