Yeah, there is a obvious problem. My draft shaft is between me and the trailer, lol. That's the only issue. Whatever, it is what it is. These cats dont play. Just kind of ironic, a dude is broken down and they still insist on performing an inspection anyways. Meh. This state is atrocious with the weight stations & DOT officers. I'm only crying to the choir to be quite honest. Just thought, I'd rant a little...
What the....! (Any experienced EXPERIENCE this?)

Oh man, I'm ready for the next phase of her demands!Tall Mike, TruckDuo and dieselfuelonly Thank this. -
Funny, I read a story in Hustler that started the same way,,,, I'm sure it will all work out well!
Relax and keep your head, there's nothing you can do by the side of the road, let the lawyer handle it.
(BTW, if she cites you for anything and does NOT mention the driveshaft, then you can say her report is inaccurate. So keep that in mind. )Tall Mike Thanks this. -
My guess is that it's an ego thing.
She has the power to do it and she will use that power knowing that you can't stop her.
If I were in that situation, and if nothing was found for her to write a citation for, I would wait until she was done and probably ask her "Did you have fun wasting time?" -
IL is his home state. Translation: you're not in KS any more Toto. Kind of stupid remark but that's what she meant.
As for the level 1, I suppose she is punishing the driver for not catching the bad u joint before it let godouble yellow, wore out, TruckDuo and 2 others Thank this. -
My advice is ALWAYS remain polite and courteous... remember all law enforcement officers can and will make your day worse. Your attitude could be the difference between a warning and a $1000 citation. With that said i agree she is being a b××××!
Tonythetruckerdude and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
Well. I'm flabbergasted, lol.
Level 1 complete.
Broke down @ 2:00PM.

"MIS-MATCHED SLACK ADJUSTER EFFECTIVE LENGTH"
ARE YOU SERIOUS!
What the hell, that's not detecable during a pre-trip!!! keep in mind, I haul containers (intermodal). You cannot find this in a PRE-TRIP! She refused to refute the inspection report and put it on the intermodal chassis provider. She put it on me. I even told her, ma'am, thats not pre-tripable.. how do you expect me to find this?. SHE SAID, "I CANT GO BACK AND AMEND IT, HERE YOU GO AND HAVE A NICE DAY'..
I'm DONE.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Like I said, that's her way of telling you to check your u joints.
NavigatorWife, mp4694330, truckon and 1 other person Thank this. -
just replace Wisconsin with Ohio and you can understand what I went through four times with one of their finest enforcement officer.
JJKid and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
