How much fuel do you have?
-
Pretty sure IL will.
-
all depends how far you are from any of those scales
rolling across they would never be close enough too tell
i would roll not even think about it
but that is just me -
your good if they pull you in just get mad cause they are calling you overweight
bottomdumpin and kw600 Thank this. -
They won't bother you. The scales are only accurate to withing maybe 400 pounds. A CAT scale is accurate to within 200 pounds. In both cases that only applies if they were recently calibrated. I was give a tour at a scale house once and they are able to set the limits when the alarm goes off like 35,000 on drives. They don't read every number. They wait for the alarm to go off.
scottlav46 and dptrucker Thank this. -
If it were me I'd put my weight on the drives. And at least get the back legal. I'm not saying they won't mess with you but being overweight on both axles might cause them to look a little harder at you. If you put that extra 200 on the drives, depending where your tanks are you may be able to at least burn enough fuel to have them let you go right on throughscottlav46 and double yellow Thank this.

Thanks all of you guys. Both Idaho scales gave me a green with 1/2 fuel. Was worrying about picky scales like in Kemmerrer WY. One day she gave me a warning for 50 pounds overweight.

Do you have an APU?
