I agree. Get a new trainer. Your not gonna learn anything from that clown.

In the past, I would have said that as long as the trainer wasn't doing anything totally unsafe or dangerous.. to stick it out.. Now with the CSA in effect, and seeing several new drivers get violations while on a trainer truck (unforgivable in my opnion), I would say that you need to stand up and contact the manager and or the safety department and tell them WHY you cannot or will not stay on this truck because its for YOUR protection and for the company's benefit.
NavigatorWife and tazman74 Thank this. -
I'd like to hear the mentor's side of the story lol

You mean Swift has trainers??
No, seriously, don't let this guy tell you to do anything which violates any laws while you're behind the wheel.
Because, that will go on your records. If I were you, I'd demand another trainer. Protect your records, at all costs and don't let him spot you anymore. GOAL-Get out and look. Good luck.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
This Clown doesn't need to be training anyone much less driving a truck...I'd get another trainer asap and report this fool before he kills someone..

If you can tough it out with him, you can train with anybody! Sometimes you have to deal with General Patton style training!

The driving in heavy traffic I can live with that. My first night in my trainers truck I was in rush hour traffic in Philly for about four hours. Trainer had said everyone going to Atlantic City. He was right. Rest of what you trainer hadls donr makes him a tool. Ask for another.
