    Thanks for the compliments.

I work hard to keep my marriage alive and happy. Its definitely a 2 way street. My wife is very understanding and has my back in everything we do. Very rare find. I knew on our first date,.. she was different. When I couldnt stop thinking about her each time after a date or talking on the phone,.. I couldnt believe I was actually falling in love. I was so bitter towards women in general after what I went through with my first marriage.

New love is the greatest feeling in the world to me. I vowed to keep that feeling through out this relationship and so far its been working well. When I come home off the road she does things like drive out to where I park my truck wearing a trench coat with nothing but sexy lingerie underneath. She says,.. "Hey baby,.. looking for a good time?" And then kinda let the jacket open a little revealing her garter belt and stockings. I'm already horny from being out on the road for 6 - 8 weeks,.. then she goes and does something like that and I'm sprung like a lustful 19 yr old. She is the greatest thing to ever happen to me.

I was talking earlier with my wife about opening a shop. She's all for it, especially if it means me being home at night.

I need to do a ton of research before I could commit to something like that. That would require an insane amount of start up capitol. Much more than I currently have. Borrowing money on something that my entire livelihood would depend on the people I hire would be very difficult for me to do. With what I do now,.. I can do everything myself. I dont need to depend on anyone else. I'm a good wrench, I can build small block Fords and Chevys in my sleep. Getting into semi trucks and new diesel engines is an unknown for me. Very scary prospect and even though the market seems to be a no brainer from my perspective. Its still something I am not that experienced in. What I would do in order to provide a good quality service, may not be the most profitable way to conduct that kind of business.

May just be a busy time of the year for repairs, coming out of winter when there is a spike in wrecks.

    In Florida???? LOL ;)

Did it even drop below 60 degree down south of the panhandle?

I kid.......it snowed 6-7 inches here in Shreveport beginning of March.

But, you're probably right. This winter was pretty rough in a lot of places.

I understand the logic, but its not like all southern truck owners stay in the south.

So Hurst. Got any updates? How did Koch claims end up treating you? Any initial estimates?

There was a hang up with the estimate.

Reading it over I saw that they did not include the cowl panel that was cracked on the inside, and the front bumper had a slight tweak to it that was not there before. I told them I wasnt too concerned about the bumper as I had the tools here to bend the bracket back into shape. Instead,.. they took 2 more days to get back to me because 'supposedly' their supplier was trying to get a price for the parts.

I was with the understanding they were getting everything through Freightliner, in which case I couldnt understand why it took 2 days to get a price so they could revise the estimate. I called Freightliner in Tampa and had a price for the cowl in 5 mins.

I just emailed a copy of the estimate to Koch. Spoke with a Mr Hagan,.. waiting for their response. My insurance wants to close the claim or go forward with the repairs,.. I have had them in limbo for over a week now. Trying to explain the situation makes me look like a fool for what appears as a bit of incompetence on J&M's part.

Current estimate is $5341, and that includes repainting the hood. Asked if I wanted it black as it was or green to match the rest of the truck,.. I said green. They said it would not be an exact match. I said,.. well the black doesnt exactly match either,.. but should suffice. I'm not hard to get along with. Just do your best,.. as long as the mechanical parts are done right, I'll be happy.

So, now the ball is in Koch's hands.

I'll update soon as I know more.

Now I'm going to take a spin in my wife's car,.. see if I cant find someone to terrorize out on the highways,.. :biggrin_25525:
