I refer to my Samsung as my "Dick Tracy" watch. It does help me out a lot as normally I don't hear my phone ringing, but the watch does vibrate on my wrist and I can see the subj line.

... to others its some awesome tech...
To each their own... Hoping to get a Gen 2 version when they roll out... -
now we have a situation where it's possible to push some, not all, of this awesome tech into a smaller wearable device and they are doing it... And many people look forward to using a small screen, for certain things, that they can wear on their wrist.
"WTF Apple? Make up your mind." ... LOL
Technology is not a "one size fits all" environment... We now have screen sizes from 38mm to 27 inches.... With a wide variety of abilities and tech behind them screens. Some will love a quick txt msg on their wrist without needing to go get their phone while others need and require the pure horsepower of a full blown iMac...
They are just tools to be used...
Variety is nice, very nice...
Even if many don't sneed each size... -

True, it's not going to be a two hour conversation in Dolby Digital 5.1...
But just a simple call, from your wrist... Soooo Cool!!!
I agree about feeling the notifications better on your wrist than in your pocket or if your phone is in the other room... Be it Android or Apple... To be able to just glance at my wrist to see who is texting or calling and be able to respond, or not, from there instead of digging out the phone or going into the other room to get it will be a nice convenient feature.
What kind of Samsung Wearable did you get? I am not familiar with their line of watches. -
Apple isnt just selling some wrist-worn computer, its selling good looks and coolness, too | www.wsj.com/articles/apple-watch-review-what-the-apple-watch-does-bestmake-you-look-good-1428494694
Apple takes an obscene amount of pride in its products, and it could be extending that pride to ensuring owners of its shiny gadgets are appropriately attired. The Californian iPhone -maker has been awarded a patent for 'Smart Garment' tech, which would tell you when your clothing had reached the end of its "useful lifetime". |www.cnet.com/news/apple-smart-garment-patent-tells-you-when-to-buy-new-clothes -
I love Apple and the iPhone and the Mac and the iPad, iPod and everything else they have created. Love my iPhone 5s, not sure I want a 6 just yet. I just don't see the point of the Apple Watch yet.

i would love to have an Apple Watch... But waiting a bit... I need both to upgrade my iPhone to work with it and save up the bucks to justify a new tech toy.joseph1135 Thanks this. -
Since 90% of the time my phone is on display (in a cup holder while driving or on a table next to me) I find it useless.
