I was at 2 of them, in ECRU, ! going threw, and the next coming back threw---the main theme was PTP-pay, then More home time, and dispatch a stop ahead all the time, instead of the first in, first out dispatch method, they have been using, this past week I have been dispatched a solid one to two runs out, on Tuesday this week I knew what the rest of the week was, that is what it used to be when I started over 2 yrs ago, it makes planning your fueling etc a lot better.

I haven't really seen any issues with any of that till the last 2 weeks.

The way they wait till the last minute to book the backhauls would be a good thing to change though. I wait on them sometimes to nail things down with the brokers or sit waiting for them to get a ratecon and decide if they're going to book the load. Pretty sure a lot of those loads could be booked farther out considering the size of the fleet and the relationship they have with the brokers and that a lot of them are recurring loads.....it's not like these are one-off loads they're booking for the most part. Shouldn't have to wait to have it confirmed.

I'm pretty happy with the rest of it. I'm getting good enough time at home they don't need to screw with that I like how I'm running

I am happy with the way I am running avg 3000 a week, with about 5-6 d/h fees.

The pay problems that I had experienced has gone away--which is great!

The dispatch for us down here, had room for improvement.

Home time for us here in Brandon is good, so far, and nothing here gets loaded to leave FL, until Monday morning--it works in our favor, last week had 62 hr home time, most of the time its about, 44 to 48 hrs off.

Haven't had any wait type issue's for load booking's.

Since I started, they are a little behind on the cost of living pay adjustments, and a raise----they know it, but betty's job is to hold cost down, but its knocking at her door now, I am hoping they will address it, and make the adjustments needed.

    Another secret note, LOL

The driver care MGRS from Advance and ECRU, and Arcadia, have all gone to the VOLVO plant in Greensboro to look at the new VOLVOS that have been spec out for us rumor control has it.

Their American headquarters is in Greensboro. Always have some really sweet pieces on display over there. If they're going to do a deal, that's where it would be.

Those 880's would be a nice addition lol I like the look of them better than the 780's and they're nicer on the inside.

yeah I know. Wishful thinking lol

Uggh 880? I'm the biggest Volvo fanatic there's probably ever been. But, that 880 has got to be the ugliest truck on the road.. It's the exact same interior. You can't get anything in the cabin that couldnt be specd into the 780.. Besides imagine the pedal guys trying to manvour around that big ol' hood.
But I do say the biggest thing that out trucks need is full ferrings Again. Like we had up until 2013.

    flyingmusician Thanks this.

The few I've seen were owner op rigs so they may have been customs on the interior. Haven't seen fleet versions so I really don't know in that regard.

Yeah ltl would be a little tight with one lol but hey, that's why they make the big bucks hehehe

full fairings would be nice. Might help getting that last 1/10th to get my avg mpg over 8. I seem to be stuck at 7.9-8mpg avg

not that I wouldn't take a 780 happily. Just get rid of the 670's. Really tight to live in.

Hope that works out for you rotax. I have a friend who started with them couple months ago he's thinking about going back to where he was. From the inside he's saying it's not quite the driver nirvana everyone thinks it is from the outside. Overbearing micromanagement from hell is what he's saying.

I wouldn't work for those ######## if they paid $10 a mile but I worked for them before in a management capacity so I'm a little biased lol

best of luck to you we'll miss you
