Dont need to. We can have a discussion in a separate thread about any model someone chooses.
Now if someone is looking for support then yeah there's a thread for that.
Any feedback on the Rand TND 730 GPS

Hugs Mark. We still like you. This is why we aggravate you. At least it is a polite thread

Now my wife.......

Wives rule! Keep up the good work Mark. I hope you can stick around longer than DieselBear did.

On the other hand, Mark, I have nothing but good to say about the map update on my 520.
I seldom get a dirt road warning anymore, and I can't seem to get it to lock up anymore no matter how many searches or course corrections I make it do.
Still a few very minor issues, but then, nothing is perfect.RoadCall Thanks this. -
I totally appreciate the time you give helping drivers and supporting your products in the support thread, but one has nothing to do with the other.Last edited: May 3, 2015

NavigatorWife and RoadCall Thank this.

Well Mark you can't help everyone. You can only do so much but I'm pretty sure most around here know you have a support thread. It's the largest thread on this forum lol. If they need your help they know where to find you and if they don't we will advise them.
People should have the freedom to openly discuss the pros and cons in a separate thread. Maybe those people that pointed out problems are just here venting their frustration, and you know what? They have every right to do so.Last edited: May 4, 2015

I have had a lot of feedback from drivers on TTR and a lot of issues were resolved. The last one with the freezing was brought up on TTR and with some help and a lot of leg work (I can only do so much at my desk and road testing) the issue was found and fixed.
Anyone can vent, but if the answer lies in another thread (not hard to find) and they did not pursue help, but just want to complain, then I normally just write it off to a vent. The issue with that is then others will read it and now the TND has a lot of issues and a search on Google will turn up those posts and off it goes.
For an example. Over the weekend Quicken 2015 posted an update, it was forced, but the .exe does not play well on Win 8. The update fails but you are unable to open Quicken. I Googled what I had and the first return showed others with the same issue. They pointed to a different link to force the update manually and now it works. A little digging (5 minutes) and the solution was found. No need to jump on a thread about Quicken and bash them.
Again I am all for the venting, but let's make sure the solutions have not been posted already. I have been on TTR with the support thread since 2008, Part 1 and Part 2, plus many others that have popped up. Google searches almost lead you to the support thread. There may be over a hundred pages, but as the owner of this site once told me, most only go back 3 pages to read. I do not expect you to read from page one unless you are bored, post your issue. If I am not online then others will post a solution as I try to be 1000% honest in my posts.
I will work with any driver here no matter the day of the week or time. I understand your job (I did it for 3 yrs). I understand your home time or down time.
If hardware issues then by all means post it, but also in the support thread so that I might assist you.
Pros/Cons - I am all for it.RoadCall and lovesthedrive Thank this.
