Just like a newbie trucker, that will have someone help train, so does the collection site, and I think you'd appreciate that. I can be almost positive she followed procedures. Again, you would have had to been locked up in a sealed room, even then, please read the articles I linked you to. As it stands, I do not believe you are going to convince anyone. Do not forget, you filled one test bottle, and from there, the collector put it into 2 smaller bottles. The same urine would be tested. Chances of the other bottle NOT being positive? What will you do if you fail this second go-round? First, let's be as honest as possible, you will not tell us you failed a second time.
I just got off the phone with schneider and believe I screwed myself also. I haven't gotten my cdls yet...take the test in a few weeks. i have been in contact with companies and received prehire letters. I found out schneider does a hair follicle test and have been avoiding the recruiter. I used to smoke marijuana but quit when I started trucking school so I'm 30 days clean. I told her I wouldnt pass a hair follicle test. didn't have a chance to tell her how long it's been since I smoked. she transferred me to another department (drug and alcohol maybe?) they asked me some questions about drug use and sent me back to her. she told me this was an admission of substance abuse and told me I could never work for schneider and gave me some dot # (I am assuming SAP) my question is....does this go down on record? will DOT and other companies be able to see this or is it just schneider? thanks to all who help.
Geez not another one of these. Doesn't matter where they took the hair from or how long it is. Standard testing protocols test the closest 1.5" to the follicle/root and that represents the last 90 days of growth. they don't test long strands. The only thing going in your favor here is as of current, growth and detection times for other than head hair have not been conclusively determined but you can bet they're pretty close to head hair and not 35 years. Very few here are going to buy this story. Many of us, myself included, lived that life and far worse in our younger wilder days. At some point you just have to grow up, put it down, walk away, and get a life......or at least learn the testing protocols, thresholds and void times. Be be sure to come back and let us know the results of the re-test. If you tested false positive I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong......but in my study of testing methods / procedures in my other life, yours would be the first I've heard of.

As I see it, you never actually took a drug test, was never hired by them. You might be ok, as far as anyone reporting to DOT. But if you at any time gave your SS number to the company, you are indeed toast. (as you will be on file) I probably would not want to call that number.
i dont do drugs ,but used to fish with a guy and hang out at his house and he was a heavy smoker. i've always passed a drug test. but the test were u.a. . maybe the op had one of his gf/wifes hair on him and they grabbed that by mistake
passed the urine test and she just chopped off about 1.5 of the end not close to the root . doesn't matter everbody thinks i'm bs anyway. that hurts the worse. I been always against drugs after seeing what alcohol did to my best friend. If I didn't love my lady so much I would have threw her to the curb for it long ago but she says it helps her with back pain (3 major surgeries)After all i'm losing though she will get her eviction notice the moment I get home.
