On a side note if yall ever get a water pickup in Ocala you better bring a lunch. They took 5.75 hrs to live load me a few wks ago. However, there are trls dropped there. But, the shipper isn't loading them.Click to expand...Click to expand... -
No, it's not that one there in Groveland. This one is in Ocala- in town about 3-4 miles from the pilots/loves. It's spring something or crystal springs. I don't remember address either but it's in a residential area. It was a ld for n.albany.

Yes FM, I do connect my smartphone to the radio and listen to iheart or Pandora and others I have. This week I will be shuttling to leesport to holland until further notice. yea I feel the same way with my Volvo, I don't want to trade it up until its time to turn it in. I am one of the lucky ones that got a big window Volvo.

strange week.....but consistent with YTD do far. 3081 and 6 d/h
advance to Richmond
Richmond to advance deadhead
advance to leesport
leesport to east Syracuse
east Syracuse to Montoursville live load to leesport
leesport bobtail to hermon, me. yep, bobtail 564 miles Pa to maine
hermon to Allentown deadhead
Allentown to leesport
leesport to advance
pretty consistent so far even though the freight is slowing somewhat the miles haven't suffered due to all the empty miles. don't really understand why they bobtailed me so far to grab an empty and come back to almost where I started from but those decisions are above my pay grade so I just roll where they tell me. I would have thought there would have been a load going to hermon or at least Holland or somewhere up there I could have dropped on the way. there were about 15 empties in hermon so it did look like they needed to get some out of there.
planned out on another shorty to Knoxville for Monday. plenty of directions I could go out of there so I guess we'll see what the rest fo the day Monday brings. betty and the gang are going to be in advance tue-thu for a meeting of some sort if any of you are going to be through there. times to be determined but they'll be there.
shop manager called me Tuesday and said my new truck is in arcadia. getting a new KW. just gotta get it outfitted and down here should be giving up my Volvo to another new hire in 2-3 weeks time. he said I could get this one with a 13 now or wait till the end of the summer and get an automatic if I wanted one. lol yeah right. i'll drive the one i'm in now to a million miles before I drive another automatic. I won't be in another one of those useless things unless the entire fleet goes auto lol -
Well myself did,
3013 miles this week with 5 d/h fees, not bad right on par for what I have been doing.
On the freight, this is the beginning of there slow season, it has been said July and August is there slowest part of the year, will pick back up after school starts in the Fall.
On all those trailers in Hermon, must be from the lack of Company drivers in Leesport Pa, Can not really figure that one out, having so many empty's up there. Unless they are staging them for backhauls somewhere, but that far north, there's paper and o more paper and water from Southern Maine, and dirt in bags for the summer, that's about it.
I don't know if I would want to give up my Volvo for a KW, but from what I heard U don't have much of a choice--LOL
On deadhead miles, have had an uptick in that dept, also in the past month.
All ready planned out for Monday. -
I started out the week down to leesport going to oakdale and brought a load of soup back to Carlisle, deadhead back to leesport for a Syracuse. got to Syracuse Tuesday night and took my break, Wednesday morning my wife called me and said she was having problems again so I called Ashley and told them to take me off my glass load. by 2 pm doctor said no more waiting and at 345 she delivered our baby girl. they are both doing good, little girl is getting better by the day, the wife is home now and the little girl will be atleast another week and half in the hospital.
Ashley has been great about this whole thing even with me quitting. Friday was suppose to be my last day, but im in a spare and my truck is in leesport with all my stuff in it. so I will work till Wednesday and wrap it up here. -

I've pulled that water out of Poland springs with my previous company. was really hoping that wasn't what I was going to get out of hermon that was the first thing that struck my mind as I saw the trip up there lol. it's like a western express terminal there and those guys think they own the place.
