ugh.....lol and this is why some of us are so resistant to change.

i don't want to 'unwatch' the thread if I'm getting the proper terminology. i just don't want the email alerts inundating my inbox.

am i correct in assuming 'watch' or 'unwatch' is the same as the previous 'subscribe' or 'unsubscibe'?

    KW Cajun Thanks this.

Yep, same thing... just different terminology.

    :biggrin_25516:

Well, it does work on my PC. But I was on my tablet at ohdarkthirty this morning, and it would not work on that. I clicked on the smiley, but nothing happened. Tablet is a cheap nextbook 8" with windows 8.1 operating system. Works OK for most things, but doesn't work very well on this forum. At least it didn't during the night. The other problem I'm having is the same thing that some of the smartphone users have stated, I can't see what I'm typing, because it is covered by the keyboard.

    Hope it ain't a man with boobies!:biggrin_2551:

Just wait fm, your day will come! Trifocals are a real PITA, even after having them for several years now. . .:biggrin_25510:

OK, I like the overall looks of the new forum, as long as I'm on my PC with the 23 " monitor. But I don't like it much on the tablet!
I'm sure that the bugs will be worked out over time, and it will get better as time goes on. And of course as we get used to it.

I thank the staff for all the time they have put in on this changeover. I know it isn't easy!

    Back-tracking to the changed terminology....

That's another reason why it's not a good idea to view TTR while driving.
Now it gives alerts such as "(Username) is following you!"

No need to keep checking mirrors, in a paranoid fashion, as now "follower" is the new term for old term "friend". :biggrin_2556:

i sure hope not Don I've just had the bifocals for a year now and they're still a pain, especially at night. but you're probably right i'll end up with the tri's before it's all said and done.

and ditto on it not being lost on most of us what a pain and large scale project it is to do an upgrade like this. we'll all get used to it and in some respect i see some improvements on the laptop side but i put the phone down earlier today because it was just too much of a pain. i'll be forced to figure out how to work it on the phone tomorrow once I'm in the truck.

fm, have you tried going to the Default Style to see how you like that view with your phone? I think I like that better with my S3. Lower left, click on Truckers Report V2, choose the Default Style when the overlay comes up. Apparently, the actual default is the Truckers Report V2.

i saw the option when i was clicking through all of the different menus earlier today. haven't tried it on the phone yet but will. i got an older iphone 4 with the smaller screen as well so I'm sure that doesn't help matters any
