I have expressed my opinion on PeopleNet in the past (junk).
So it is real nice to have a Qualcom that is only used for logs.
agents/brokers are via phone. (They answer cause no freight move = no pay for them)
Load Info/confirmation comes via E-mail.
Every thing else is web based. -
I really didn't mind the Qualcomm I used when I was at Miller. I could go back and edit everything except driving time.
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Our company uses DriverTech. Calculates everything for us so we drivers don't have to use the few brain cells we have left. The CEO of DriverTech has the same last name as the owner of Pilot/Flying J....hmmmmm. lol
The GPS it uses is PC Miler and it will route us to fuel stops and shipper/receivers. One thing it doesn't have is what you all have and that is line 5. Anytime we joy ride it has to be put down as on duty driving. So wish we had line 5.

tsavory, slim shady and Rocks Thank this. -
I think I'd be marking it off duty regardless. Absolutely zero reason to burn up your 70 goin to do some shopping. Or sight seeing. (Or to bass pro shop 5 miles from the tank wash in Denver)

This crap stopped working last evening...It's all you guys fault! It doesn't finish loading the software.... it stops while Running Plug Ins...
I HATE THIS PIECE OF JUNK CALLED PEOPLENET....Called them this morning and there's nothing they can do over the phone... Can't troubleshoot... it might be software, hardware...
My company will have to send me to their terminal in OKC to deal with it... Piece of junk...
I worked with Qualcomm for about 3 yrs never had an issue... But this darn PeopleNet... it's always something... and this device is less than one yr old...
Now will start on paper log... Which is ok... if only I could stay on paper instead of going back and forth... Besides, will have to do all communications with co. via phone... which is more time consuming...
Good thing I am resetting this weekend and will start tomorrow with full 70...Last edited: May 17, 2015
TruckDuo and chopper103in Thank this. -
Good news now... I moved to a much better location in this truck stop... Cause the one I was last night, would be ok had someone not parked right in front of me where no truck was supposed to park and that made it more difficult for folks to park next to me or even for me leave in the morning...
So... I walked around parking lot this morning checking all potential parking spots and as soon as I saw a truck leaving a good one, I immediately took it...
And now... here I am...
