I'm currently employed with them...so I'm sitting at the house because my co-driver quit on me. The OTR thing wasn't for him, and living in WV, its hard as hell to get a co-driver thats close. I can't say anything bad about the company except for the 6 month OTR before you can do anything solo. I made decent money, especially for training last month, didn't sit except for memorial day weekend in des moines, and got home when I was supposed to, but since I can't find a co-driver close, it looks like I'm going somewhere else.

Week one with Melton is over and so far so good. I am home now with a load that delivers tomorrow 70 miles from home. Its a full tarp lumber load that it the length of my trailer and 13' high.....I am paranoid about driving it up the road but I think my paranoia will help me be safer with it. It was a straight up ##### to tarp it too.....but I got it done in under two hours. Sooo, with $40 tarp pay, I got paid $20 an hour to tarp it.

How did you get up on it? Do you flatbedders keep extension ladders handy or something?

Im glad to hear your doing good on your new job
im still at crest as always it sucks here i did in 3 weeks team 7000 miles at 22.cpm so i guess il go home broke again lol im waiting on a call from your people i think i may stay to get my 6 month mark thats when jobs come little better -
Most companies out there don't pay that much for any new driver. But if you do your home work, make copies of all receipts, including keeping track of all your miles that you drove, and you got paid. If you have any qualms with what they paid you then it is up to you to contact the payroll department, and your DM and get it straighten out.. And remember the best was to make money is to keep the left door shut, don't turn down loads, unless you can't do them legally..
