It actually caught me by surprise too, usually they're not that long.
The load going to RI was medical related and temp controlled. Customer service made it clear the customer was paying a premium for on time next day delivery.
Same thing with the chocolate load. Except it wasn't next day delivery obviously.

I looked at them once and I do not know what it was but something turned me off. Can not remember if something on their FB page or web site. The miles are there from what I see. Now I remember, the per diem. I think forced. If remember correct, pay was $.33/mi + $.06/mi per diem.

That's correct, .33 plus .06 per diem, forced.

My guess is most loads aren't that light either, 40k plus?

You're right, typical ree fer freight, usually 40k +. Though the fresh seafood and flower loads are in the 15-18,000 lb range.RoadCall Thanks this.

Heck, I would be happy with a "light" load of 40K.
WesternEmpire Thanks this. -
All I know about this company is that, anytime a Navajo driver parks next to one, they take a photos of the backs of the trailers, post it on Facebook, and it becomes a cheese dick fest from that point on.

They do work a few chicken plants. Gainsville Pilgrims Pride Poultry Fresh in Gainsville had Tribe coming and going all night a few days ago. I've also seen them at Cargill and a few Perdue plants.Last edited: May 19, 2015

This is very true, I've pulled more than one Pilgrams Pride load since starting here. Though they have all been drop and hook so far.

Situation Normal All F@#&ed Up, my 3600 mile week turned into a 2400 mile week with $125 for layover. Instead of the Punta Gorda load being rescheduled for Monday morning, the broker took off early Friday without calling Wal Mart in Washington C.H. Which meant that I sat yesterday because nobody bothered to call Wally World until yesterday morning.
Silver linings though, I now start this week with a fresh 70 and 1250 miles in hand. And I had a chance to stop into Wal Mart at 3am on my way to the DC to grab a couple of Xbox One games that were released at midnight last night. (Yes I'm a vidiot, don't judge me)
Currently sitting at the La Grange, KY Pilot on I-71 installing The Witcher III and Farm Simulator 2015 onmy hard drive.
