I believe its no cap. And I wanna say yes on the maintenance fund being required even after the truck is paid off, but I am not sure.

not long ago JCT did not allow pets at all because they were getting lease trucks turned in with lots of pet damage. I just recently saw that they allow pets again. I have no doubt that the high deposit is meant as a deterrent, either for having a pet at all or making sure the drivers are at least attempting to prevent damage.

Gotta love when a shipper takes over 6 hours to load you. You inform HQ via QC about your eta because the appointment is not set yet at the consignee. Then a few hours later you get a message with an appointment time 12hrs before the earliest you can be there.
So, I called the DM that is covering my DM's board for the weekend to find out what is going on. I told y'all my earliest eta with a 2hr just in case window and they set the appointment 12hrs earlier anyway. He told me that they have no idea why the CSR's do that. They can look at the projected eta just like the planners and DM's can, but still set appointments for earlier than the driver can get there. He said they would just have to swap the load. I told him that I have swapped out to many loads this month to help other drivers and that my average miles is down because of it. This is the first 1000+ plus mile trip I have this month because every other load is being swapped to get a driver home or the driver mismanaged their hours and now I have to swap because the CSR can't be bothered to look at a trucks projected eta? That takes what like a minute.
He understood that I wasn't happy about it. He wasn't happy about and I know the my DM won't be happy about it. I told them when I can be there and they go and do whatever anyway. I told him that after every swap I have done, I would get a nice good run, then something would happen with another driver or another driver needs to get home for such and such reason and I would be a team player and swap. I would then get another good run and the same thing would happen all over again. I told him I get tired of getting screwed like this and my patience is running thin on being a "team player".
I have done more than my fair share of swaps this month. I have done almost 10 swaps in the past 2 and half weeks. This is getting old real fast. I don't mind a swap every now and then to help, but ####, leave me alone for a while so I can run. I feel like a regional driver with the pay of an OTR driver.

Them: I know you just started your day but can you pull over and park for 10hrs so another truck can catch you and swap loads. Its 800 miles.
Me: No.
See how easy that was? Not giving up 2700 mile run when I've had low miles.
Remember, you must take care of yourself (business) first! Be a team player when you can but not at the expense of yourself.

OK here is a question. If you had an app that drivers could put the shippers and receivers in and they as well as others could rate the shippers etc would you download and use it? I am learning how to code and that would be my first app I want to work on.
JTT Thanks this. -
It is free to to signup and you can submit new shippers and receivers for them to add to the database. They currently have over 115k in their database. -
really I shall download I never saw that one

Well.....
It's been just over a year since I turned my JCT truck in. While I knew I'd miss it, I didn't think I'd miss it this bad. But.... all for the family, right? New baby, out of control 12 year old (google ODD), and wanting to have a little bit of a life (THAT ship sailed when the baby was born).
I find myself staring at JCT trucks I see barreling through Charlotte on the way to Floriduh, eyeballing tractors on TruckPaper, wishing I didn't really have to deal with the idiots I deal with daily.
Hope you guys are running hard and piling up the pretty green paper.BJnobear and MachoCyclone Thank this.
