Just wait untill you are chased by a UFO. Are you going to go slow and end up getting probed?
-
Yessir, did not mean to imply advocacy on your part, merely agreeing with you, as you pointed out.

Beam me up, Scotty! Wait a minute! What is that thing? Oh, no you don't!skellr Thanks this.

They also watch your speed going down hills! Ask the couple of IND guys who were fired for going over the speed limit down a hill. Who the hell does that!?!?
-
I heard about that, but don't know the details. I doubt they would cut loose first time offenders, butagain I don't know the circumstances. I do know there isn't an overspeed report downhill if you're not on the throttle.

Honestly any of them can be a crap shoot. Personally I'd avoid Conway and FedEx in that order, but other than that it really comes down to how the individual terminal is ran and the first impression you get of the place. If the dock is clean and professional looking, trailers and tractors are parked neatly and well organized, it's a good indication they run a tight ship and have high expectations of their employees. Probably an okay place to work. If the place is a disorganized disaster you might want to keep looking. No guarantees still that you'll fit in and like working there until you go and do it. I've worked at LTL terminals where I almost immediately liked the place, fit in well, and frankly was dumb to leave. Then i've had ones where I thought I'd like it and was making a good move but ended up hating the place in short order and obviously didn't bother staying long.
LoneCowboy and blacklabel Thank this.
