In Michigan you should call Wage and Hours, they can get you your money back at no cost to you.

I would say you're screwed. You should have quit when this all first started not 3 months into your employment you found out the hard way it wasn't going to get any better. You can file for unemployment though. Not saying you'll win but the odds are greater then trying to find a lawyer to take your case.

Giving him some problems in order to get fired was most definitely not the way to go, if unhappy at any job, give notice and move on

My name is John, I am the owner of JL Logistics LLC. I have discovered this negative feedback regarding employment with my company. Dave couldn't get off of the couch to do the job. As far as not paying him, he was paid for every car he hauled on the regular scheduled payroll dates. I did have to call the Eagan police to get my customers keys back from him, as he was holding them ransom. As far as not getting legal restarts, the 2 weeks leading up to the last day he had only driven 5 days. Please remove this negative thread. I treat my employees and contractors with the utmost respect. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Thank you,

    John

What I see is a "he said, he said" situation. Some where in between is the truth. This is not a negative thread, but rather a thread where someone told a story, hey, much like you did in fact.

What I am taken aback by is the very LONG time from October to now, for you to have made any comment(s) towards the charges. We are talking nearly a full 8 months now. Frankly, had you left the thread all alone, since the last entry was October 22, 2014, it would have continued to sink lower and lower into oblivion.

But since YOU were so kind to bring it back up from the depths of message board death, I think it is only fair now that anyone wishing to respond do so.

Maybe in the future, be a little more vigilant in YOU cruising trucker's websites for any (to you) disparaging remarks.

For as I see it, the said original poster had a right to vent out his frustrations about your operation. Your lack of a timely response way back then, and to bring up what really was considered a dead thread, means nothing to me.

Enjoy any responses you get, after all, I'll bet you "dollars to donuts", absolutely NO ONE even remembered this thread.

From a personal view, I see NO valid reason for the owner or admins, or moderators to remove this thread.

I do not remember seeing any company name mentioned, or your name. It WAS YOU that gave yourself up, not the original poster.

Now we can all be aware of your company. You should have been MUCH smarter and said something like, 'hey that guy worked for me, and here is what happened".

Up until the time YOU gave up your name and company name..??

No one even gave a flip about it, you were a "ghost".

YOU brought up a dead thread from nearly 8 full months, that everyone forgot about, and now you want it removed..??

You should have let sleeping dogs lay.

Had he let the thread continue into oblivion, no one would have cared. now he faces some talk from some of us. He posted in another thread the o/p started.
