lol, wow, you don't play around! Haha. I think it's crazy to hold a driver responsible. Like, if you can't count all the boxes because of the way it's stacked on the pallet, who's going to ask them to unstack it, count it, and then stack it back?

Is SWIFT actually a good company to start with? My husband got an email for an orientation scheduled, but I have been doing the research on this company and I have been reading all this horrible experiences about pay not being worth for the time your away from home. Plus that you don't get enough miles, is that true? I do have a question, why would they pay you back the amount you paid to your school where you got your CDL ?

If you use them as a stepping stone, they aren't too bad... We went from Central Refrigerated to a Swift (because Swift took over Central). The methods and morale behind the procedures were different between the two. Central would reward you for doing what they wanted you to do. On-time bonuses, safety meeting etc., Swift penalized you... "Do <_____> or you will be put on safety hold." ... There are a LOT of training companies! Research and find the best fit... Good luck to you

The only real bonus Swift has is the driver rank bonus.
With the new pay levels it is .03 (or is it .04?) cpm for Gold and .05 for Platinum. I'm not sure what Diamond is, but that status takes a LONG time to get. Bronze is still at .005, Silver at .01.
Paid quarterly for all miles driven.
The rank is based mainly on on-time ratio, number of preventable accidents and miles driven during that last (rolling) year.Lady K Thanks this.
