How many miles do you run before you change your oil?

When I ran my own it was every 11 to 15k depending on where I fell at the time. As a company driver they can change it whenever they feel like it (Normally around 30k) and new Freightshaker are up to 50k oil changes for warranty now..

 

Some companies change oil on 30k to 50k because they only keep the trucks for few years or 500k miles. so they dont really care

 

I would not so much say they "Don't care" its more of they will do the bare minimum to stay within the warranty requirements for the truck.

 

I do 20-25k Volvo says 30k

 

15k for me,,

 

12-15k usually every 3 weeks for me once a month maximum

 

that's what I do.... just rolled 1,000,000 miles on my Volvo D12, still only uses 1 gl between oil changes and has never had the motor worked on

 

Well in order to determine if oil is still good after 15k you need to take it to the lab and test it. You never know the quality of the oil that was put in.
