I change the engine oil every 12 to 15 thousand miles . I recently seen guys posting that 40000 miles is the recommend change interval . Does this sound right?
How many miles do you run before you change your oil?

When I ran my own it was every 11 to 15k depending on where I fell at the time. As a company driver they can change it whenever they feel like it (Normally around 30k) and new Freightshaker are up to 50k oil changes for warranty now..
taxihacker66 Thanks this. -
Some companies change oil on 30k to 50k because they only keep the trucks for few years or 500k miles. so they dont really care

Well in order to determine if oil is still good after 15k you need to take it to the lab and test it. You never know the quality of the oil that was put in.
