I just got a phone call msg from some women with Farm Bureau Insurance. She said someone hit my car and how did I want to handle it? I call her back and get her Voice Mail, WTF? I call up my company and ask them to go take a look at my car. They did and call me back and say we don't see any kind of damage. Although someone says they might be trying to scam me? I finally get this insurance lady on phone and I find out she had been given the wrong phone number, my phone number. So here I am 2000 miles away from my car thinking it's been smashed pretty good. I'm glad it wasn't but it still just shows the kind of BS you deal with in this line
of work. It's enough to start making me paranoid now thinking about some idiot wrecking my house or vehicles while I'm out on the road somewhere. Anyway I guess I'm lucky it wasn't wrecked.

    I spent 2 years rebuilding my 86 300sdl Mercedes
put it on the road 2 days later I was downtown having lunch at
a sidewalk cafe. cop walks up to me says are you Peter Morse
you need to come with me. Being not unfamliar with bracelets
I followed him around the corner and some kid ran a redlight took out one whole side of the 10 day old paint
Insurance company was none too impressed

It's an old 1997 Cadillac Eldorado. It's still in very good condition. When the insurance lady left me a msg she just said someone backed into your car and we wanted to know what you want us to do. I figured it was the Caddie, my only other vehicle is an old Chevy pick up at home. I knew it wasn't that one. I was just wondering what my car was going to look like when i got back.

I haven't been saying much about miles and all that lately at Big G... been kind of taking it all for granted..

when i get home tomorrow i will have completed my normal 12 day cycle and will have a little over 5400 miles for that time. I will get home around mid-day tomorrow and return tuesday morning as has become my routine with miles consistently at the 5k mark or above...

with all the difficulties i am seeing many have in this industry it sure makes me appreciate what we have here....

Not a bad schedule there Tow. As long as the check is sufficient sounds like not to bad of a gig.

Just realized I'm trying to do about the same thing running central California to Wa.

I will have 4070 paid miles this week when I drop this load in Lebanon TN, on Sunday. I left Lawrenceburg last Saturday at noon. I even had a free hotel room at the Sky City Casino in Acoma NM, last night. They sent me a promotional offer for 2 free nights if I use them by July 2nd. My only complaint is my fuel gauge quit working and the sleeper AC unit quit again.

Looks like we almost have the same schedule. I am usually out 10 days than 4 days at home. Rinse and repeat.

Sure glad I got my APU. It is in the 80s here in Alaska and sure makes the reset and wait for fresh Salmon more enjoyable.

I don't see any company trucks going North. They are running a lot of owner ops North and even lease ops don't see much freight to Alaska. Better stay where you are.
