Well guess what, the software is already done!

We picked up a load this morning that had a flat tire. So we took it to the NSLC terminal . As soon as we entered the gate, a mechanic came up to us and told us he had to update our computer. We knew what this meant!! Then we got that done and he put a decal that says "62 mph" inside our door. Goody, goody we get to go 62 now! :biggrin_25513: However, it doesn't bother me too much. What bothers me more is their idling time is now 30% or less.... And we have an '05 truck that isn't getting APU. IMO, Crete should have left it at 35% until APU's are installed. Oh well...

It was fun getting red tagged as soon as we entered..lol:biggrin_25514:

So if you see us driving like a turtle, you're next!!!! :biggrin_25525:

yep, my trainer got nailed at about 0800 in indianapolis. the "we can only do computer work at lincoln and marietta" isnt true.

just got my b service, ive got a 1/4 tank of fuel, half a pack of cigarettes, its midnight and im wearing sunglasses.

    :biggrin_25519:

i dont wear sunglasses. but thats still one of the best movies of all time.

gonna see how long i can avoid a terminal before they make a point to send me to pick up t-calls. :biggrin_2559:

ill do it. for 350 bucks!

vols, when youre due for a new truck, youre due for a new truck, theyll give it to you. not stick you with someone elses old one.

and were buying new trucks for sure. you just dont see the prostars too much unless you get into the delivery area of north platte wal-mart fleet.

HaHa Suckers! :biggrin_25522: Im still running at 65! ...for the next 8K miles anyway) :biggrin_25516:
I ran at 62 from GA up to MA and didnt see the 3mph loss as too tough to deal with.
The APUs will make up for the 3mph loss, IMO. I also hear opti-idle will be disabled on the APU trucks.

yeah but you have to have the 07 complaint motor to get one. which is less than a quarter of the fleet. the rest of us get a weekly ######## about our idle time. i dont know if we all get the same message, but mine reminds me not to sacrifice driver comfort or safety to be compliant.... then why send the message? think im just idling to stick it to the man?

this is what we get for having an accountant in charge of a trucking company. hell with raising the rates, lets take away from the drivers! j.b. crete inches ever closer.

from what i have heard, all is not well in the acklie - osterfart household though. allegedly someone may have trouble keeping his pants on when not in the company of his wife, and he may be out on the stoop broke and hungry soon.

    let us pray.

our father who art in lincoln, d-wayne be your name. your son in laws dumb, how bout if these trucks dont run? then the idle will stay the same!

    amen.

My husband just talked to his fleet manager today about his idle time. Seems they don't calculate it like normal people would. Your idle percentage is relative to total engine running time, not percentage of day. So if you drive for 2 hours, then idle 2 hours that night, you are idling 50%. If you're at home for a week and you idle 15 min to charge the battery, your idle for that week is now 100% and you may loose your job over $1 in fuel.

So for those of us that drive about 8 hours a day, need to keep your idle down around 3 hours or less. No problem, right? Who wants to sleep anyways.

I rather like sleeping. And living. We refuse to get heat stroke for the good of the company, so we're quitting. There's other jobs out there.:biggrin_2551:

Ditto! It's fricken hot in CA today. Don't know about charging drivers, but you may get fired.

Yes, it is now 30% or less. Talked to another Crete driver today who is quitting as soon as he gets home. I know there are some unhappy drivers right now. And it all started with the pet policy!:biggrin_25513:

someone do your payroll request and tell me they "messed" yours up this week as well. please.

my gross pay for this week was 1531.00 4400 miles because of an os and d load.

my paycheck is NEGATIVE FOUR HUNDRED NINETY THREE ####### DOLLARS.

grand total to date that crete has &%*#*$%& me out of now stands at roughly 2100.00 in the last 2 months.

Does anyone know what percentage will get you in trouble? Is it right at 30% or is there a little leeway?
Side note: I hate it for them, but I WILL idle if Im too hot/cold during my 10hr break. Other than that, I can deal with it to a certain degree.
Also, is there any kind of incentive for those with low idle percentages?
LostBoy: I just checked my pay and everything was fine.
2100 is crazy! Id be doing some pretty hardcore b1tching if that were me...then Id give them one paycheck to fix it or Id be letting the door hit me in the rear. (of course if I had proof of my losses) Good luck getting it back!
