Swift abandoned us!!!!

    @2Girls_1Truck no one here is sayings it's her fault. Her husband is the employee of Swift. The responsibility lies with him.

    What we're all getting on her about is the fact that she's coming on here trying to rally us truckers against Swift by posting a misleading story.

    Let's dissect the BS:

    1. In 6 months he got "some" violations. How many is "some" ? She downplays the seriousness. [​IMG]


    2. He hung up on the Safety dept. That's not no small thing. It's freaking Safety. Told them he was quitting. Doesn't matter if she tried to smooth things with his DM. He should have manned up and called back Safety to apologize and find a way to move forward. [​IMG]


    4. He is the employee of Swift. He needs to be the one dealing with the company. She's just a rider and doesn't have any authority to speak on his behalf. [​IMG]


    5. He is a lease operator. In no way is this guy an O/O. Instead of using the TruckersReport to rail against a company, what they should have done is use it to do research in the beginning. Have respect for the members on here. Don't come on and try to use us as pawns in their twisted game. [​IMG]

    6. Why in the world do they not have any money ? Come on. Why isn't she teaming with her husband ? This is 2015. More and more females are the breadwinners. Get off your lazy ### lady. [​IMG]

    7. Last but not least.....he told Safety he was quitting then hung up on them. Then he's surprised when they tell him their terminating his contract. Obviously more went on then their willing to disclose.

    Let me add a little more since I have been here for some time. Talking with your safety director one on one in your home terminal is one thing. Talking with Safety at corporate is a whole lot different. The fact that they were talking to him and trying to maybe help regarding the violations was showing that they were willing to work with him and solve the problems. Him going off the handle and saying pretty much stick it and hanging up, well, that was jus the nail in the coffin. One thing many to not know is that as l/o here we actually sign 2 contracts One is with IEL and the other is with Swift. Swift would have cancelled his contract as far as working with them. Then IEL would have been notified and then they would have also cancelled his contract and repossessed the truck. Hence, they did. In El Paso. Safety will never show their hand. I was once on Safety hold while in PHX. They took me off Safety hold and gave me load that was on the yard. This brought me back into the terminal. Then back on Safety hold again so could not leave the terminal. After our discussion and they inspected my truck, off safety hold. They are willing to work with you. He just sealed his own fate. Swift could have been worse and sent him to a terminal even further from his home and taken the truck. They could have also made him leave the property which I did not read anywhere in the OP that this happened. It strikes me as odd getting another job in 3 hours. In all of my years I have never been offered a job in 3 hours of applying, an I have over 20 years.

    I have gotten offers in less than 3 hours lol. Not hard at all these days. I could apply to 20 company's tomorrow morning and have 15 offers by noon. With none of the company's I apply to advertising as looking for drivers or having over 500 trucks. Experienced drivers with clean records are getting very hard to find recently. And if he was with swift it means he is not picky about where he works.

    You've got it all wrong, sir.

    The kid got called by "corporate" because his home terminal IS the main phoenix terminal which is also where the corporate offices are.

    He didnt get treated any differently than any other driver and that's why he probably got mad and felt the need to go dumb dumb. So him, being the dumb dumb that he is for signing a lease contract for dumb dumbs, and then having a girl dumb dumb enough to leech of another dumb dumb, and resigning without thinking. Who knows, they probably smoked weed and failed load appointments ...etc etc etc

    I had a driver who's wife called so many times to complain that eventually one of the VP's told her that if she called again that her husband would be out of a job.

    New drivers hiring on with Swift and CR England don't do enough research and planning before they leave because its a well a known fact you are not going to be making much if any money for at least 6 months so payday advances are the only way a driver can survive

    Swift isn't as bad as CRE. CRE is a bunch of money hungry Mormon demons that will sell out their own mother. Swift isn't great, but it's better than CRE by a mile.
