Well those other three companies KNIGHT, SWIFT AND ENGLAND are owned by Mormons. As I understand it
as long as they donate 10% of their profits to the church they can pretty much do whatever they want to with their businesses.

And it is run by the old CEO of Central Refrigerated. I guess he was ousted after the Swift takeover.

Picked up my brand new truck, a Freightliner Cascadia Evolution with an Evolution TriPac. Standard fleet truck. But the changes from the KW to this are immediately noticed. I had a Cascadia with GTI, but nothing ever worked right so, whatever.

The cons: it rides funny to me, a little looser than the KW.
It doesn't have that "truck feel"
You can totally tell it's a standard fleet truck.

The pros: it's a lot quieter.
It's a bit faster and more responsive when backing. The KW was a little longer than this.
The air circulation is a hell of a lot better. The KW got hot, real hot. While moving into this, with the APU running and the vents on, the truck stayed comfortable. I needed to run the KW to cool it off inside. Not this. This was pleasant.
The lighting is much better, albeit BRIGHT. I used to call the domelight the sun, well, this is a thousand suns.

The TriPac is weird, but kind of improved. They simplified the unit, it's just like a regular HVAC system. The fan for the AC goes on and off, even at its coldest setting.

Lastly, the engine. A DD15. Which has more pulling power over the Paccar MX13. I think I'm gonna dig driving a freight shaker again.

The best thing about being the first driver in a new truck is that you get to break it in. If it's treated gently by the first driver it will have a lot fewer problems down the road.
