What's wrong with you background?

 

The MVR only goes back 10 years and should have dropped off your record by now. They thing about CRST is they'll get you out there and won't run your background and such until after you get there for orientation. Even though you tell them all the stuff, the recruiter says it's ok, just show up anyways. Then once you get there, they bounce you and you get to find your own way back to the bus and home. i started with CRST and couldn't wait to get out of there. I was struck with an 8 month training contract with them. There are much better companies that will hire you and be up front with you about your background. Check out prime. Depeneding on where in Tennessee you live they do have a dedicated account out of Shelbyville. Give the recruiting people a call and talk to them, It doesn't hurt. Just RUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN as fast as you can from CRST!

 

If you're going to Roadmaster I know for a fact they'll sit there and run your dmv and tell you what is popping up. They do that to help you with placement. Also, it helps you not to admit to things that are 25 years old. Ask you school if they can help you with that.

 

CRST has the highest turnover ratio in the industry. For everyone they hire three people quit or get fired. CRST will sue anyone that tries to hire you. But some companies will buy that contract out. Werner is a good one. Also if you are fired you are automatically off your contract and a free agent. Best advice is to cuss them out a go somewhere else.

 

Run over every cone they have you back into. Fail all your mechanical test. That license is yours for the taking.

 

If you can find a co-driver that doesn't suck, and doesn't abandon you, you can do quite well at CRST for a starter. Especially if you can get on a dedicated route... also, I started at .26 cpm, I'm jealous of your starting pay.

I was making ~$800 paychecks @ .26 cpm, as opposed to $5-700/wk at higher rates once I went solo.

 

Whenever I see Crst trucks in truckstops, all I can see on those drivers faces is "FML"

 

Getting your mvr purged only takes 3 weeks atleast in California
