He may have passed away by now. If not, then he'd have to be around 70.

I tried to track him down last year. He was active on ClassAdrivers.com. I have an account there as well, so I tried to get ahold of him there, but he hasn't been on there either.

He was a good guy. Hammer kinda reminds me of him. I'm using his original avatar. :)

They pretty much want you to at least be 21. . .:p

Oh wait, you meant an upper limit. There may be some insurance policies about it, but with all the equal opportunity stuff going around, most places wouldn't dare to refuse you employment just because you are OLD. As long as you can keep your CDL and endorsements, and keep your DOT medical valid, I don't think there is such a thing as an upper limit.

Of course some companies will have you do a physical agility test before hiring you, but I don't think they ever make you repeat the test after you have been hired.;)

imagesHKGTQ7AB.jpg Just beware, the older you are when you start...

1- the more you will be susceptible to back injuries
2- it will seem like you've never had enough sleep,
3- the fatter you will become from truck stop buffets
4-the faster you'll get high blood pressure from stress
5-the easier you will puke from eating bad food
6-the more your neck will hurt from constant bouncing
7-the more you will trip jumping over pot holes
8-the more you will fall on your ### till you learn how to use a tandem pin-puller
9- the faster you will need to get a new pair of eyeglasses
10-the faster you'll get headaches from diesel fumes

    Other than that, no problems!

EH, it sounds like the voice of experience speaking there.;)
Also sounds like any number of young folks, (kids to us old timers,) that I have worked with over the years.

Many drivers still running the road coast-to-coast and in their 60's and 70's. My friend is almost 70 and running coast-to-coast pulling tankers and climbs on top of the tanks just like he's 18 yrs. old.
