Hey Freightwipper, what are your thoughts on Schneider's Choice program for Intermodal? Do you happen to know anyone running on that in the northeast? Thanks for the good info in this thread.

BTW, although I realize SNI seems to have some good info posted at http://schneiderjobs.com/owner-operators/lease-opportunities, it would be nice to get an inside scoop on this option for some current/past participants. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Great thread guys. I'm starting next Monday with Schneider as an O/o on the Choice program in Phoenix Az. I'll be bringing my truck i just bought form Lone Mountain. A 2010 Cascadia. How are the rates in the Southwest region? I live in Kingman Az.

Do the cascadia evolution that SFI offers have 1 or 2 tanks. Reason being I seen some with 1 tank. Also how many gallons they hold

The Northeastern United States, as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau includes PA.
    http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Northeastern_United_States

US Fish and Wildlife services considers PA to be in the "Northeast region"
    http://www.fws.gov/northeast/maps/pennsylvania.html

Even the Boy Scouts view PA as in the "Northeast"
    http://www.scouting.org/Regions/NortheastRegion.aspx

    uh huh... lets keep going

How about the US Department of Labor.. yup they view PA as in the "Northeast" also
    http://www.dol.gov/whd/programs/dbra/neast.htm

AmTrak has a "Northeast regional" run that includes PA
    http://www.amtrak.com/northeast-regional-train

The EPA puts all of PA in their "Northeast"
    http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/impacts-adaptation/northeast.html

How about the National Climate Assessment? Yup they've got PA in the "Northeast" also
    http://nca2014.globalchange.gov/highlights/regions/northeast

Even in Schools they teach that PA is in the "northeast"
    http://www.wlcsd.org/Loonlake.cfm?subpage=1697563

we can go on and on here

So when I said PA is in the Northeast it's not something I "think".. rather I'm stating fact based endless sources.. schools, agency's.. the government...etc etc.

You saying PA is not the Northeast is your thought and opinion and will remain only that but hey go to the EPA, Census.. heck go to schools and plead your case as for them to take out PA from the "Northeast".
Let us know how it goes

There is no such thing is "Intermodal Choice Program".
All other O/Os programs besides choice are based on some cheap mileage rate and you will still have a dispatcher.
Which is terrible and I can never suggest such a thing.
I think all "pay by the mile" sucks and is a rip off scam.

Rates out west are cheaper vs pretty much everywhere else in the country.
Best lane looks like CA-AZ. Usually $2+ to AZ and $1 coming back.

    Good luck
