I pulled flatbed for Swift for 2 years and just recently quit. I would say we hauled more interesting stuff than Maverick and TMC but that's a matter of opinion. Pay was decent I made 47cpm for loaded miles and mid 30s empty. Made about 55k in 2014 and I quit in late november so that's about 11 months pay. Here's some random pics.

Uhh swift flatbed is all contract freight and stuff going in and out of mexico, I know when we were short on trucks for the RV chassis (see pic 5 above) we would broker out to Landstar and pay their drivers 2.20cpm plus fsc after landstars cut... But keep telling yourself that you are the victim and big bad swift is out to get you.

Swift has had flatbeds in various parts of the country for years. I remember seeing big multi-axle flats running out of their Gary IN terminal hauling steel back in the late 90's. I'm pretty sure they still have daycabs pulling flats and curtain vans around SLC. When I worked for my old boss our bread and butter was the Home Depot contract out of Clearfield UT back up to the stores in MT. Swift has a person at the DC that schedules all the loads. They would let us know what stores on what days and all unload info had to be emailed to them. The big companies have their hands in more stuff than people realize, and it's not all buck a mile dry van loads.
