The best truck is one that has no strings connecting the finance company to the trucking company

Well you can, it just has to be with a broker that is under contract with Eagle, once you book a load with one of those brokers, they will get in touch with your DM so Eagle can dispatch you on the load with an Eagle load number, that is how Eagle gets paid, and how Celadon pays you.

Well if you get new, and this may have changed, but all new trucks were Lone Stars with an EPU, and those trucks are heavy coming in at 19500 by itself. With the used you'll have more of a selection that changes everyday.

I did a rayon style move....I watched a load that didn't seem to be moving waited until it was late then moved in for the kill! 850 on a 285 mile move! Was brokered for between 500-650 by 3 other brokers....a similar load not the same one,lol....

U don't have to just do east coast plenty of good rates out west too....but easier to get in a dead zone out west....great rates out of arizona and ca and if u make smaller moves back south to get back there.....u need to study your areas to see the freight patterns

    rmacjr Thanks this.

Good one, yeah I think a lot of these guys are getting little to no info on booking their own loads.

I agree, but a lot of guys want a text book way of moving freight and don't want to do the home work that is required. Sometimes I didn't and paid for that mistake.

I agreed and still do. I am just saying that they shouldn't leave drivers out on the line like that, tryn to find loads,.
contracts with brokers still have to be approved by them,
