Bought it at the end of the bubble. Didn't buy it for resale; it will be my family home. My wife's friends think I'm rich and keep hitting on me, but it's worth the sacrifice.....lol.

When you get to Silicon Valley, hit on Ellen Pao; if you can win her heart, the world is yours! She's all over Google these days due to her out of the box ideas; she pushes the envelope.

It means that for whatever reason, you do not have enough privileges to view the page you are requesting.
The specific reason can vary by circumstance, what software the server is running (ex: Apache. nginx, lightppd, etc). Often it means that you tried to access a directory, as opposed to a specific file.

Am I correct that you are posting from China? If that is the case, I would tend to blame China's internet firewall and security policies. Firewalls, and proxies used to get around them, can cause goofy problems. In fact, just these words on this post might cause you to see an error, instead of the page.

OK, thanks, that's probably it. Yes, I'm currently posting from my home in Beijing. I'm stressed, but that's ok, there's probaby 30 massage parlours within 2 blocks of me. Just have to work with what's available. Thanks Bean Dip.

Well your not going to be around like minded people while your trucking.

I've done some coding, and general computer support for a few small businesses, part time, after hours, and during an unemployment stint. I couldn't make it work. Am I capable w/ javascript, JSON, sql, python and html? I'd like to think so. But I don't have anywhere near the talent or understanding of what it takes to create a usable (let alone GOOD) algorithm and code for the big guys.

I have several friends that have or still do code for a living, the most "successful" in terms of salary, is making 90k. And he does very little coding anymore. He runs the IT department, and generally oversees coders, network admins, help desk kids, etc. making anywhere from min. wage to 45k a year.

If you want to code, do it because you love the process, because getting to the point where you can make 100k is going to take several years AFTER you acquire the skills (which itself will take several years). And even then, it will take the perfect storm of talent, hard work, and luck.

Yeah, if you didn't have this trouble state side, I'd say it's the Great Firewall. You may well not even be veiwing these pages from TTR's state side servers, and are instead seeing a proxied version from China's servers.

Years ago I found a small laptop computer on the side of the interstate. It was scratched up pretty bad like it fell from the top of a car and skidded. A computer guy wiped all the porn and junk off it and I started using it and used it for years, including in China with no problems at all. That's what I used until buying this new one. Maybe I should dig the old lap top out and try it again; don't know if it would make a difference or not.

@Pacific Islander .. The silicon valley guru's/geeks are fairly easy to locate on the net in social media, if I may, try masterng you own blog. Events that say techcrunch puts on is one way, of course there are other event's.. Tho I suggest not to act like crazed groupie if things get going. Good luck !
