And yes, to reiterate what Pacific Islander said, right now don't focus on shifting during your turns. At some point it will come to you.street beater Thanks this. -
I dunno- I've heard that "don't shift in turns" thing before, even tried it myself.. Found it totally impractical.. Every turn is different, and some are downright HAIRY!! Better be prepared for everything when turning, and having to shift is gonna prove to be a pretty minor issue to deal with

Truth is you're better off being prepared prior to going into a turn so you can focus easier. But if you want to get through a fast intersection then leaving it in the lower gears doesn't cut it. Not to mention it's easy to round some of these curves and note that traffic is at a standstill just at the opposite side...
