Indiana governor Mike Pence has the worst road service in the country. Their interstates have less snow plows then any Illinois city street. And Indianapolis will write you a ticket and not think twice. If the posted speed is 55 don't be caught going 56. Indianapolis leads the nation in speeding tickets.

    Tigerroad and TruckDuo Thank this.

There's a question with a hundred different answers! Personally, I recommend getting licensed yourself if you can. Puts you in a better position when dealing with carriers, and generally keeps you out of required one year contracts. Plus, you may be lucky enough to jump straight into LTL and avoid the OTR side completely.

Ours too but they're generally not written for 56 in a 55. The other nice thing is troopers tend to bunch up. If you see one you know you're going to see more but when they're over on 65 then 70 or 74 will have a clean shot.

Wasn't there somebody on here that went to ODFL right out of school?

If ltl is what you want, it's hard to beat their pay/benefits if you can get. Yard in Indy too.
