100 channels and still only $0.39 per mile. That is sarcasm, I have no idea what they pay, but I would rather have the money. The more I think about it, if they expect me to be sitting around in their truck enough to need 100 channels then they aren't keeping me busy enough.

We were one of the very first to implement EpicVue and I have a much different opinion about it. The actual cost to my company is a fraction of a penny per mile a driver makes each month. I'll keep my 100 channels, you can have your $20 a month and sit in the nasty ### TV room at the truckstop and watch whatever mindless garbage the majority decides is best.

As for J&R Screwgall charging $60 a month, well they have to make money somewhere.

Poor drivers gonna have to skip a couple meals to even buy a TV. If I was on the verge of quitting, satellite TV wouldn't help sway my decision , at all.

    ^^^^this.

I run hard and company keeps me moving. I also have a 30" flat screen, good antenna and antenna amplifier. All I have time for is some local news and weather maybe traffic in the morning before I leave and occasionally a little time to watch if I get a live load/unload.

If I'm sitting long enough to justify a satillite and that many channels I'm not interested in the company. Not a selling point for me. It tells me maybe their drivers are sitting too much.
