I hear you on the reserved spots. They serve a purpose for the impossible to find parking places but some others its just a money grab. I wonder what percentage of them are actually reserved ahead of time or paid for when a driver arrives to find nothing left but them.

when I went through Limon, half the reserved spots were empty, that was about 8:30 pm. The two T/A's in Denver, I've seen the one on the East side of town full, but never the ones on the west side of town.

either the Loves in Tacoma, or the Flying J in Pasco, WA

Tullo's in Kearny, NJ. Parking lot smells like rancid panocha.

I always went across the street in pasco WA, good food, and easy parking. -

In Pasco I like parking next to the subway and just walk over for a shower. the scale is really funky to get off of also
