A question to his original question. Most applications ask for 5 or 10 yr work history. What if I haven't changed jobs in 30.5 years? Do I even mention job(s) prior to that?

ah...of course not. -
Yes you must have a perfect employment history or you can not get a job driving a dang old dad gum truck down the highway.
But the companies WILL hire some guy who is a new immigrant from Mexico, Africa, Russia or wherever and won't really care about his work history. You think they are gonna be able to accurately verify where he was working in Africa before he went to truck driving school?
My advice is to go get a job at McDonalds for 10 years, build up a perfect employment history, and then, and only then will you be qualified to sleep in a tin box in an parking lot smelling like pee, and be qualified to be at your place of employment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, driving them BIG RIGS oh yeah.
But you CAN go to school to be a welder, nurse, mechanic, anything really and do fine and get a job. And you will make more money than the dumb stupid bazzztard truck driver sleeping in a parking lot full of pee all night.Last edited: Jul 20, 2015

A NOTARIZED letter that you were not being lazy?
You don't need a notarized anything in the turning world to get a job. I been trucking since 2003 and had plenty of run ins with applying for job or getting work under my own authority and never in my life have I had a letter notarized so I can get a job.
Whats it gonna say, I was home binge watching HBO series for 3 months? This is a letter certify that? LOLOL
COME ON. Get real...CaliforniaJellyroll and Mudguppy Thank this. -
Just cause someone didn't have a job you PRESUME he is lazy?
HAHAHAH
I presume you don't have a clue and are judgmental. Does presuming that make me right? Cause I see alot of presuming.CaliforniaJellyroll Thanks this. -

I have never notarized a paper in my life to get a job. And considering all the travel I have done in my life, I have more holes then swiss cheeses in my job apps. And NEVER NOT ONE TIME have I been asked to notarize something to prove what I did.
I call BULL dodo from the top of the mountain!CaliforniaJellyroll Thanks this.
