I like to listen to audio books while I drive. I have 4 kids. The 2 oldest are serving in the military. I love the St. Louis Cardinals. In other words, let's talk about something else.

If people aren't making money they will take their trucks elsewhere and that doesn't help Schneider.
I will say this though.. Schneider hasn't tried to screw me yet when they could have.
Pay errors on the load board that I booked, I still got paid.
200 mile load that got delayed going to huge paying load, Schneider offered me a VNU for $150 and to bobtail to my next load if I wanted to. That way I could still do it.
Schneider could have told me to sit and give the high $ load to a company truck but nope that did what they could so I could still do it.
Not saying Schneider hasn't screwed up as they certainly have multiple times but they haven't tried to screw me over yet.
They're still throwing high $ loads on the board when they could keep them all for company trucks.
So far so good, it's not perfect here but from what I've seen so far I feel confident.LifeSucksThenYouDie Thanks this. -
The biggest problem here (besides too many 10+ year old trailers on the road) are the load planners and customer service.
I was a company driver for two different companies over a little bit over a year total and I really can't recall experiencing screw up appointments and a lot of surprises.
Here I've experienced quite a few screwed up appointments and surprises with customers.
I think operations is undermanned and mistakes are being made due in part to it, including pay errors on the load board which really shouldn't ever happen.
It's worked to my advantage a few times but still things like that shouldn't happen. -
I think I've at least made my point just a little bit clear, I can see the Schneider bashing marching in though if Schneider outgrows itself. With that said maybe in a year looking back all the IC'S will be able to say that my point was false, who knows. I hope the OP succeed and you also FW, and any other SNI choice driver.LifeSucksThenYouDie and freightwipper Thank this. -
Man OP, your thread went sideways in a hurry.
LifeSucksThenYouDie Thanks this. -
I know. I gave my 2 weeks notice yesterday. I am going to spend most of this coming weekend doing things with our younger kids. The next 3 or 4 weeks are going to be hectic.

That is exactly how I feel.

I'm on the SNI ic fb page(is there more than one?) and it seems to me that A lot of those guys are not going to be in business for long. A lot of drivers are coming aboard, but there is still significant turnover.
"I have the freedom to pick my loads"
Doesn't equate to
"I have the discipline to run this as a business"
I am really torn about coming back. I want to and I want to I/c But I'm really concerned about the abrupt about face that most of the IC threads took here. This used to be an amazing place and now it's several people commenting only
